At the hot :coffee: gates

...the story:

Across the street from the Starbucks I frequent, a Pete's Coffee and Tea opened a while back. I have always thought they should rumble.
For a while I thought they should do it 'West Side Story' style, with snapping and leaping around like antelopes.

BUUUTTT...I was getting my Friday-after-work chai a couple weeks ago, and some of the barristas were discussing the movie '300' and how cool it would be to have lived in ancient Sparta with all the cool stuff that was in the movie and wicked spear skills.

This idea developed as my sweetie and I drank our hot beverages outside. It amused me a lot--seriously , a LOT (I'm easily amused)--and I decided that I just had to make this comic, and then print it up and bring them a copy, so they could feel like they were Spartans, too.

I kind of faked it with the shading here and there, unsure exactly where it would go...so if it's off or wrong i'm sorry. I *do* like how the shading on Starbucks Dude's hair came out in the top right panel.
I and I know that The 'Hot Gates' or Thermopoly (I think) in the movie/comic is totally after this scene...it was just the first somewhat appropriate title that came to mind.
And the collins (I can't spell it! Ahh! Spell-check no use! ...these things --> : <-- ) in the title are there 'cause stupid DA won't let me put parentheses in the title.
